Kansas has created the vision of leading the world in the success of each student. It’s time we celebrate those successes. Just as we celebrate an athlete signing a letter of intent to play a sport, why not celebrate each seniors’ decision to continue their education. This program not only allows us to celebrate with the seniors, it also provides a format to emphasize several of the KSDE goals such as Social /Emotional Growth, Individual Plans of Study, the importance of high school graduation, and postsecondary attendance. This would be a great session for Middle School/High School teachers, counselors and administrators to attend and hear how Ell-Saline used a collaborative effort from various departments, clubs and organizations to explore a variety of careers, post-secondary educational opportunities, and various means to help pay for it. This program helps to emphasize the school to career movement and show students and parents alike that KANSANS CAN!
